Une d\u00e9couverte notable, alors que le taux de survie \u00e0 ces accidents stagne \u00e0 seulement 10 %.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un probl\u00e8me de sant\u00e9 publique<\/h2>\n\n<p>Chaque ann\u00e9e, entre 4 et 5 millions de personnes sont victimes de mort subite dans le monde, dont 30 000 \u00e0 40 000 en France. Le taux de survie \u00e0 un arr\u00eat cardiaque reste tr\u00e8s faible, environ 10 %, si rien n&#8217;est fait dans les cinq premi\u00e8res minutes.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u00ab Le probl\u00e8me de la mort subite est largement sous-estim\u00e9. L&#8217;identification des patients \u00e0 risque reste le probl\u00e8me majeur. La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 europ\u00e9enne de cardiologie qualifie cette qu\u00eate de \u00ab pierre philosophale \u00bb \u00bb, observe le professeur Michel Ha\u00efssaguerre, fondateur de l&#8217;IHU Liryc (Institut de rythmologie cardiaque), \u00e0 Bordeaux, et membre de l&#8217;Acad\u00e9mie des sciences.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Identification des patients \u00e0 risque<\/h2>\n\n<p>La cause la plus fr\u00e9quente (80 %) de la mort subite est l&#8217;atteinte des art\u00e8res coronaires, due le plus souvent \u00e0 un trouble du rythme ventriculaire et entra\u00eenant notamment l&#8217;infarctus du myocarde.<\/p>\n\n<p>L&#8217;enjeu majeur est de pouvoir identifier des signes pr\u00e9curseurs, d&#8217;autant plus que l&#8217;arr\u00eat cardiaque survient le plus souvent chez des personnes qui ne sont pas connues comme ayant une maladie cardiaque.<\/p>\n\n<p><em>Article r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux abonn\u00e9s Le Monde.
